Crab Claw Buck Down

This buck is part of the Crab Claw Buck series we photographed this year. We seem to have this genetic trait of having split beams, or Crab Claws as we call them here. Whatever the reason, these bucks make for interesting and unique mounts. This buck was dropped on the spot at 220 yards. I LOVE a clean kill! Bonus points to Tyler for making a great shot!

The mushroomed lead was found on the back side of the deer just inside the hide. 180 grains of lead from a 300 short mag round delivered with a Hart rifle.
